Students of all ages enrolled in private lessons at Hoff-Barthelson receive not only weekly private lessons but also musicianship classes, ensemble instruction, and numerous performance and practice opportunities with accompaniment. Fees for musicianship classes, ensembles and accompanists are waived for students enrolled in private instruction. This all-encompassing approach catalyzes learning and enables students to fulfill their full potential. It is what sets Hoff-Barthelson apart from other music schools in the region and across the country.

Private instruction with a member of Hoff-Barthelson’s renowned faculty is at the core of the School’s curriculum for students at all levels. Private lessons are offered in all 
instruments and voice for two 16-week semesters during the academic year.

Assessment interviews are held with all prospective students and their parents prior to registration.

Students are carefully matched with appropriate instruments and teachers and their progress is carefully monitored by expert music educators during their time at the School.
